Product options
Viewcol makes use of transparent colours and transparent film. In combination with interlayers and inserts Viewcol can achieve three transparency levels. Varying the transparency levels affects the amount of light that can pass through the film and image affecting a different aesthetic result giving further design flexibility. The transparency options are clear, translucent and opaque.
There are several other methods to combine imagery and glass. Options include direct printing on interlayer, screen printed glass using ceramic inks, and recently the ability to directly print to the surface of glass. Each of these products / processes have their advantages and limitations for particular applications, requirements and budget. Please note that imagery in combination with glass does not always need to be laminated. The glass lamination process enhances the durability (protection) and the safety features.
