Viewcol Reimagines Glass

Viewcol is high resolution imagery onto PET foil, a 0.125-mm thick transparent film for lamination in glass. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications Viewcol offers architects and designers the possibility of fully exploiting creativity.

With modern architects incorporating more and more glass into their designs, the landscape is being transformed. And, while glass imparts an open, airy feeling, is relatively inexpensive, durable, impervious to dirt and easy to maintain, it is a material that leaves little to the imagination, often appearing drab and commonplace.

Viewcol has come up with the answer to the bland glass facade and interior by developing a product to laminate high resolution imagery into glass. Any design and image can be reproduced as long as the quality of the original supports the final size of the reproduction. Anything from corporate logos, to luscious fruit and cascading waterfalls can be placed on the exterior or interior of a building changing the structure into a collage of bright and inviting colours.

Viewcol provides in addition the benefit of strength and safety. Laminated glass was originally engineered for car windshields and security glass (like bulletproof glass). True glass breaks but the interlayer, the glue keeping the two glass plates together, prevents slivers from scattering and injuring people nearby.

Viewcol brings brilliant colours and imagery, here some examples we could think of: decorating the walls of office cubicles, showrooms or stores, a kitchen countertop with images of your favourite flowers. Even solar panels can be emblazoned with stunning imagery of your choice. Add crystal clear pictures to shower doors, sinks, floors, splash backs, escalators, elevators and/or tables.
